Mission Statement
As a school community, we provide learning opportunities that inspire, nurture and celebrate each learner's journey to:
-
reach their full potential
-
be a contributing member of society
-
live the richness of their faith
-
embrace lifelong learning
Our Community
The community is made up of three related parts: our church, our homes and our school. Each one is necessary to the care, growth, and education of the children in our community.
Our Town
The community of Mattawa is nestled in a protective valley, at the junction of the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers. The Ottawa River is a shared border between ourselves and the province of Quebec. We are connected to the province of Quebec by the old Moccasin Railway Line, now the route of the scenic Timber Train running between our town of Mattawa and the Quebec town of Temiscaming.
