Curriculum

Our studies are based on the Ontario Curriculum documents produced by the Ministry of Education with unit plans and long range documents produced by staff, coordinators and NOCCC. The need to continuously update our units is a must and the results of provincial assessments allow us an opportunity to look at ways to deliver the curriculum in a more efficient manner. Parents and staff work together to share ideas for school/student improvement.

Our curriculum moves from JK to grade 8. Our CRT, EAs, teachers, parents, and support staff work closely together to provide the optimum opportunities for our students to realize their potential. Early identification is the key to success. Our primary teachers are focusing on early literacy programs, with the belief that every child can learn to read.

Parents are our partners and are encouraged to participate in all areas of the school. We are proud of the positive learning environment we try to create and we continue to update our studies based on the latest information, the needs of our students and the encouragement of our parents. Our teachers are continually looking for ways to upgrade their qualification and to attend workshops. In all things our work is based on the teachings of Christ!
